OK, maybe not, but here are some tips that may help in the future.
Rickshaws ? Traveling by rickshaw often involves a constant negotiation of price, however this can be avoided if you are somewhat aware of the price of where you are going beforehand. Simply tell the rickshaw where you are going and drive out without talking about the price. When you arrive at your destination simply give the driver the proper amount of money and walk off, often the driver will complain, but this is more often a tactic to get more money than the going rate than not. Of course many times the driver will insist on arranging a price beforehand and this won?t be possible.
Getting a taxi for work ? To make this experience cheaper hire a registered taxi from a market and ask him to drop and pick you up at certain times. Make sure to emphasize that he can about his regular taxi services in between those times and does not need to wait for you. A taxi from South Delhi to Gurgaon and back should approximately cost minimum
Rps. 650.
Ordering In ? There is a service called ?dial a meal? which allows you to order from any restaurant in their catalogue. Their choices are numerous and there are some good meals in between. The downside is that it
may take up to an hour to have your food delivered. Order Pizza from pizza chains is often also relatively inexpensive, especially with their special offers and coupons.
Groceries ? XX allows you to place an order for groceries and household goods over the phone. They will then be delivered to your flat at no extra charge, the great thing is that they are often even cheaper than regular South Delhi supermarkets.
